My research is finished!I found hundreds of pictures, facts and stories about Visconti Family which I consider as enough to start a collection.I have always loved the Middle Ages and I am really satisfied with my project because I found that exactly this period is one of the most significant in the history of Milan.Visconti Family left their lasting mark on this city.Everything around reminds of them - the buildings, the monuments, the amazing Duomo...everything.As if they are still here...

Random thoughts...

My thoughts are going very fast these days.I should consider well my beginning. With all my projects I am trying to be wise and to make them with a set purpose.It doesn't matter how good are your ideas - if you are not able to prove them, they are worthless and you fail as a designer.I want to make wise fashion.Fashion, in which the place of every single stitch, of every single button is considered.I want to examine fashion as a philosophy.Not too deep to become boring, but not so frivolous to look airy as a dumb blond who pretend to be a designer only because loves shopping and has a brand new cover coat.I want more, I want to examine, to invent and develop.
People don't need just to wear well designed clothes any more.I think that they are sick of this - it's such a cliché.Fashion evolves.People need to feel the story of their clothes, to be more involved...to know "WHY?".

My collection will be for males,females and I'll present some unisex decisions also...My contemporary Visconti guys will be bold, proud, snobbish, mysterious and even vicious, because like every royal family I am pretty sure that this one had its skeletons in the cupboard and intrigues.

Brainstorming after probing into historical facts

Up to here I posted the most important materials that I found about my topic.I wanted to examine closely the personality of the most significant members of the Visconti Family.All my posts are full of historical facts (may be for some of you that was a little bit boring) and authentic pictures which I found in the library, in Internet or which I took by myself in some important places connected with the topic. Actually my historical research is not finished but now I want to let you know about my personal point of view about this extremely important and magnificent part of the history of Milan. As I told you in the beginning of my blog I love the Middle Ages and in my collection I want to deal with all aspects of this period during the Visconti domination in Milan - the shapes of the clothes, the typical Visconti symbols and decorations which they use in their clothing, the architectural shapes of their buildings, their armors, letters and the Milanese art during this period.
My idea is to present my feeling about this family if they were living nowadays. How I would like to express my respect of their power and royalty. I will strongly emphasis on the details such as jewellery, accessories and decorations.In my view this will be a very impressive journey and I hope to give you a strong feeling with my further work.Enjoy it!
